About Us
We are a community of professional and highly experienced health practitioners based in Worthing and across Sussex, who share a passion for providing therapeutic care that is respectful, safe and free from shame. Humility, compassion and integrity are at the heart of our endeavour to offer a healing service.
Our Community of Practitioners includes: Consultant Psychiatrists, Chartered Clinical, Counselling and Neuropsychologists, Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists, Family Therapists, Neurosequential Practitioners, Play, Art, Drama, Music, Yoga and Equine Therapists as well as fully trained Mindfulness Teachers.
A key activity of Sussex Psychology is to work directly with Neuroscientists to translate emerging findings on the human brain into practical therapeutic solutions in the service of healing. We also have a clinical advisory board whose skills and knowledge supports our vision in creating a collaborative, interdisciplinary community of clinical excellence.
Our non-for-profit activities currently include:
- Engaging in the process of setting up Sussex Parent, Infant Psychology Services (SussexPiP) with a group of Chartered Psychologists, Child and Adolescent Therapists dedicated to nurturing, protecting and enriching the lives of babies prenatally and post birth.
- Working with Professor Sally Munt (University of Sussex), founder of the Sanctuary Project, to provide therapeutic services for refugees and victims of torture.
- Running mindfulness groups for pregnant mums and adults suffering from anxiety and depression.
